Time is such a ruthless bitch. Minutes pass, hours pass, days pass. Then, sooner rather than later, years have gone by and you are thinking to yourself where in the world has the time gone? And as you are thinking this, 10 minutes go by and it is time to get back to whatever it is that we "have" to do with the rest of our time.
In all the minutes that ever were and ever will be, when you think about it, our minutes here are only a glimpse. We are all momentary things, our thoughts are momentary thoughts and our lives our momentary lives. It is all momentary, all of it. Now, if you think about it a little more, it makes everything look and feel a bit smaller, a bit shorter, and a whole lot more important to take advantage of, right?
If we take the time we have and use it wisely, our short (very, very short) glimpse of a life will be a momentary glimpse of joy. Time, although a ruthless bitch, is very precious. A flash of light, a flicker of time, a speck of a moment somewhere in between all the other moments. Why will your speck be different? Why will your speck be worth it?
Allow yourself, in your short speck of a moment somewhere between all the other moments, pure and utter happiness. Think less and do more. Think less and feel more. Think less and live more. Allow yourself joy, laughter, love; pure human emotion that we only get to experience for a split second before it is gone.
Time isn't on our side, but life is... or it can be anyway if we allow it to be.
